Spiritual Cataracts

Good morning, it's a beautiful Monday! The temperature and humidity out side are actually bearable. It reminds me that it will soon be pumpkin spice everything. Is it me or have they taken the pumpkin spice craze just a little bit extreme?

Saturday morning as I laid with my face towards Heaven, I began thanking God for the wonderful miracles he had performed at the North America Youth Congress. I started praising him for encouraging us seasoned saints that the Church is Alive and Well! As I laid there he spoke into my spirit that he was not finished with the elders either. He reminded me of this scripture:

Joel 2:28 KJV
[28] And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions:

He said, some of my people have developed spiritual cataracts, even you Elaine! He said those visiono I have given to the saints when they were young are still going to come to pass. He said but you, along with others have developed a cloudy, blurry vision. Those promises you have been given should be still as clear as the day I had given them to you. Won't you let me remove those cataracts? Why is it that you will trust a man to go into your natural eye and cut out your blurred vision, but you won't give me authority to operate in your life. Ouch! Talk about conviction pricking my heart.

You see cataracts develop slowly over the course of years.
The main symptom is blurry vision. They tell me cataracts is like looking through a frosty or fogged-up window.
When a cataract interferes with someone's usual activities, the cloudy lens can be replaced. Same is true with our spiritual eyes. Over the years are vision begins to diminish. The promises of God aren't as clear as they use to be. Things have happened to cause us to allow a film to cover our dreams and visions. God is wanting us to let him restore that vision clearly! He wants to perform cataract surgery on you this morning. He is wanting us to get that Radical Faith back.
I am going to share a quick story here that changed my vision this past week. While my mother in law and I were at Sam's we were in the concession area when an elder gentleman comes up and basically tells me I was in his way. My flesh wanted to spew something not so Godly, but, I said, oh I am so very sorry, you see this is what happens when you get me out of the country, I just act like I am out in wide open spaces. He laughed and said they can't take you no where, can they? I said no they sure can't. We laughed and I moved my buggy so he could get what he was needing. In the process of moving I also blocked the napkin holder and he was sure quick to tell me again I was in his way. I politely moved again. I thought he sure isn't going to let anything get in his way of his condiments for his hotdog. As soon as I thought that I was reminded of the woman with the issue of blood. She, like this gentleman was on a mission. He was just after ketchup, but she was pushing through for her healing. What would happen if we were this bold. What if we took the roof off to get to Jesus? Sometimes we must push through the crowd, sometimes we lose our sight and have to cry out, oh Jesus, son of David! Have mercy on me!

When you have cataracts either one or two things will happen. One is you continually live in a dark cloudy world and possibly even go blind, or you can seek help.
I don't know about you but I chose to seek help.
Are you ready to see clearly again? God is standing by with scalpel in hand. But you have to be willing to sign the release startment and authorize him to perform your cataract surgery. Why is that we will place greater trust in a man than in with the creator of man. We sign release statements all the time giving men permission to treat our ailments when The Great Physician heals your disease rather than treat your symptoms. I want Jesus to restore not only my vision but ALL! Don't you?

Until later........Remember, "Don't expect others to understand your grind when God didn't give them your vision"
